1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ is a fantastic robot vacuum with a number smart features to make it easier to maintain. The automatic bin emptying feature is among the best features we've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It works well on both carpets and hard floors. It's also simple to set up and operate with the app that guides you step-by-step through the procedure. Its ability to resume where it left off during our tests is another impressive feature. It could do this for 77 minutes on one cleaning, before the battery was exhausted.
Unlike some of the other robovacs that we test, the i3+ EVO comes with self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However, it must still be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L which is enough to last four to five cleaning sessions.
This model, like the i7, utilizes state-of-the-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also allows you to navigate in neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, however, not the i3+ EVO.
While the i3+ EVO is better in picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we looked at however, it's not the most effective when it comes to cleaning edges and corners. It's also not as gentle on furniture, despite being surprisingly quiet. It was quite rough on furniture as it pushed chairs away. It also caused collisions with the sides of the bed.
2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums, or just getting started. It packs powerful power, smart navigation and a user-friendly automation into a sleek and stylish design at a price that is affordable. It's the most affordable pound-for-pound model currently available and even beats some of Roborock's much pricier models in many ways.
This robot does an excellent job cleaning bare floors, and its avoidance technology assists it in avoiding furniture legs and other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and gets an excellent score in our tests on navigation. The only issue is that it's louder than other models and doesn't do better in our user-satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust bin that is 770ml. This means you won't need to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is also very generous compared to others we've tested. If top rated robot vacuum is depleted, it returns to its dock and recharges before resuming cleaning where it stopped. You can control the Q5 Pro via the app and use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen that incorporates 3D mapping. This along with other advances, helped it perform exceptionally well in our tests of vacuuming and mopping tests. You can schedule cleanings, set no-go zones, and check the status of the battery as well as other things. The app is easy to use, though it doesn't support Apple HomeKit; that feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its website's footnote in early November to reflect the fact that the feature was delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit, but many of them are compatible with Siri Shortcuts.

This model uses a dToF internal LiDAR sensor to create a map of your home, resulting in efficient cleaning routes. The iMop received high marks for its accuracy and navigation. It also did a great job avoiding obstacles like furniture. It is also able to find its way back to the base station in case it runs out of batteries during cleaning.
It also has a spot cleaning mode that allows you to clean or mop an part of your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a predetermined path, which is useful in narrow staircases or hallways. It did a good job of cleaning carpets in our carpet cleaning review, but it struggled with thicker pile carpets and carpets. It is also able to automatically lift the mop pad whenever it comes into contact with carpet, which is a wonderful feature to avoid mopping your carpets.
The iMop features an onboard dust bin and a water tank that it empties and refills at the end of each cleaning session.
